The mechanics, in full.
One sponsored line inside the AI tools you already use, a 50% revenue share for the person who saw it, and an append-only ledger recording both. Here is exactly how a single impression turns into a withdrawable balance — and every check it passes on the way.
Your prompts are not stored.
This is the claim worth checking first, because everything else rests on it. An impression row holds four things: a conversation identifier, the provider, the platform, and how long the line was visible. Prompt text and response text are not among them.
Recorded per impression
- conversation_id — an identifier for the conversation the line appeared in.
- provider and platform — which AI surface served it.
- duration_ms — how long the line was visible.
- A cryptographic tracking_signature, uniquely constrained so the same impression cannot be counted twice.

What counts as an impression.
A sponsored line has to actually be on screen long enough to be read, and lines cannot arrive back to back. Both thresholds are current defaults rather than fixed constants.
5s
Minimum visible duration
The line must be visible for at least five seconds before it accrues anything. A line scrolled past in half a second is not an impression and is not billed.
20s
Cooldown between impressions
At least twenty seconds separate one sponsored line from the next. It keeps a fast back-and-forth session from turning into a stream of ads.
A reward moves through five states.
The happy path is Pending → Available → Paid. Locked is a hold; Reversed is terminal. Your dashboard shows which state each reward is in, so nothing about the progression is hidden from you.
- Pending
- Available
- Paid
Pending
Accrued from a valid impression, but still inside the settlement window and awaiting risk evaluation. Not withdrawable.
Available
Cleared both the settlement window and the risk checks. Withdrawable.
Locked
Held while a fraud review, a dispute, or an administrative action is open.
Paid
Withdrawn and paid out through your chosen payout method.
Reversed
Invalidated — confirmed fraud, a duplicate, abuse, or an administrative adjustment. Terminal.
Why there is a 7-day wait.
A reward stays Pending for 168 hours — seven days — before it becomes withdrawable. That delay is the point, not an inconvenience: it is the window in which the fraud checks run and a reward can still be held or reversed. Paying out instantly would mean paying out before anything could be verified.
The governing principle is explicit: advertiser protection outranks maximising user rewards. When a signal is uncertain, the platform holds or reverses rather than paying out. That is what makes the network worth buying from, and the seven days are what make it possible.
168 hours is the current default, not a permanent guarantee.

Five layers, running today.
Each layer contributes to a score, and the score feeds a three-band decision: clear, hold for review, or reverse. Five layers are implemented — these five. We list them by name rather than claiming a general-purpose fraud engine.
Velocity limits
How many impressions an account or a device records inside a rolling window.
Duplicate detection
Repeat submissions of the same impression, caught by uniquely constrained signatures.
Device fingerprint reuse
One device driving impressions across several accounts.
Account reputation
Account age and prior history, so a brand-new account carries less trust.
Campaign concentration
One account absorbing an outsized share of a single campaign.
Current defaults
The thresholds the layers use right now. They are tunable settings, so treat them as today's configuration rather than a contract.
| Setting | Default |
|---|---|
| Velocity window | 60 minutes |
| Impressions per user, per window | 20 |
| Impressions per device, per window | 30 |
| Duplicate limit | 1 |
| Campaign concentration limit | 10 |
| Minimum account age | 24 hours |

// no row is ever edited in place
// balance = sum of rows
An append-only ledger.
Every balance on the platform is derived from a ledger, and the ledger only ever gains rows. Financial history is never edited in place — a correction is a new entry, not a rewrite of an old one.
Practically, that means your balance is reconstructible from its history rather than being a number we assert. A reversal shows up as a reversal, and it stays visible.
Each impression also carries a cryptographic signature under a uniqueness constraint, so the same event cannot be submitted twice.
Two sides of the same ledger.
Advertisers fund a prepaid wallet and bid on CPM. Earners take a 50% revenue share, inside daily and weekly caps. Both read the same records.
